Dodecyl succinic acid is an excellent anti rust additive that can adsorb onto metal surfaces to form a protective film, effectively preventing corrosion and rusting. Its long-chain alkyl group (C12) provides a hydrophobic barrier, further preventing metal oxidation reactions. The salt spray test time can reach more than 48 hours, and the wet heat test (RH 95%) anti rust period exceeds 72 hours. It has weak acidity (pH 4-6) and can neutralize alkaline substances (such as NH3) that oxidize oil or invade the environment. At the same time, it disperses gum and metal oxide particles in the oil through polar groups to prevent local corrosion. When combined with sulfates and benzotriazoles, the rust prevention performance is improved by more than 30%. It has a certain protective effect on aluminum, copper, and their alloys, but has poor rust prevention performance on lead and cast iron.
It has good oil solubility and can be uniformly dispersed in oil products to form a stable solution. It has low toxicity, low odor, strong heat resistance, and can maintain good rust prevention performance at high temperatures, making it suitable for rust prevention needs in high-temperature environments. It also has good lubrication performance, which can reduce friction and wear between metal parts.
Turbine oil: widely used for modulating turbine oil to improve the rust resistance of the oil.
Machine tool oil: Used for modulating machine tool oil to protect machine tool components from corrosion.
Hydraulic oil: Suitable for rust prevention protection of hydraulic oil, ensuring the normal operation of hydraulic systems.
Hydraulic transmission oil: used for modulating hydraulic transmission oil to improve the rust prevention and lubrication performance of the transmission system.
Rust proof grease: used for preparing and sealing rust proof oil, lubricating rust proof dual-use oil, rust proof composite agent, and rust proof grease.
Metalworking fluid: compounded with extreme pressure anti-wear agents, used in metalworking fluids to improve the stability and rust resistance of the fluid.
The recommended dosage is from 0.02% to 0.8%.
