HA557 Alkyl Diphenylamine

Alkyl Diphenylamine is a highly effective high temperature anti-oxidant with a wide application scope.

Product Description

1. DESCRIPTION

CAS: 68411-46-1
Molecular formula: C20H27N

It is a hindered amine type antioxidant, which can effectively inhibit the oxidative degradation of lubricating oil in high temperature (such as engine or industrial equipment) environment by capturing the free radicals and blocking the oxidation chain reaction, and slow down the growth of oil viscosity and the increase of acid value. It has excellent thermal stability, with a flash point as high as 180°C. It can still maintain stable performance and reduce volatilization loss under high temperature working conditions (such as turbine oil and compressor oil) over a long period of time. It exists in liquid form and can be evenly dispersed in lubricating oil without dilution, which makes operation convenient and avoids dust pollution. When compounded with phenolic ester type antioxidants (such as HA135), it can produce synergistic effect and significantly improve the comprehensive performance of the oil in terms of high temperature cleanliness, anti-wear and antioxidant capacity. This product does not contain phosphorus, sulfur and other harmful elements, in line with the environmental requirements of modern lubricants low ash, low phosphating, to avoid damage to the three-way catalytic converter and other post-treatment equipment. Its oxidation products do not form sludge or deposits, reducing the risk of equipment wear. It has an alkali value of 150 mgKOH/g and a nitrogen content of 4.00%-5.00%, which can neutralize the acids generated by oil oxidation and slow down the corrosion of metal parts. For example, in the MS IIIH bench test, the oil blended with it demonstrated excellent metal corrosion inhibition.

2. APPLICATIONS

Gasoline/Diesel Engine Oil: For high-grade oils meeting SP/GF-6 specifications, replacing phosphorus-containing antioxidants (e.g., ZDDP) to reduce phosphorus content to environmental standards (recommended dosage 0.3%-0.5%).
Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF): Inhibit the viscosity abnormality caused by high temperature oxidation, and maintain the smoothness of gear shift.
Turbine oils/hydraulic fluids: Provide continuous antioxidant protection in high-temperature and high-pressure circulating systems to minimize deposit generation (e.g., heat transfer oils, high-temperature chain oils).
Gear oils/compressor oils: protect heavy-duty gears and compressor components for extended drain intervals.
Greases: additions enhance the high temperature stability of the grease, suitable for bearings and other equipment operating at high temperatures for long periods of time.
Fuel oil/quenching oil: inhibit the generation of oxidation by-products, enhance oil durability and heat transfer efficiency
