Calcium Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate TBN400 is a high-alkaline synthetic calcium sulfonate additive synthesized through neutralization and super-alkalization reactions, primarily using heavy alkylbenzene sulfonic acid as the main raw material. It has an extremely strong acid neutralization capability, which can rapidly neutralize organic and inorganic acids (such as sulfur/nitrogen oxides) generated by the oxidation of lubricating oils. It is particularly suitable for engine oils using high-sulfur fuels (sulfur content > 1%) and can protect metal components from corrosion. Compared with ordinary calcium sulfonate (TBN 200-300), its alkaline reserve is increased by 30%-50%, extending the oil change interval. Calcium Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate TBN400 can still maintain a stable colloidal structure at high temperatures (>200℃), inhibiting the formation of carbon deposits and varnish in the piston top ring groove, and is suitable for high-temperature operating conditions such as turbocharged engines and marine diesel engines. The super-alkalization process optimizes the distribution of calcium carbonate micelles (particle size ≤ 50nm), reducing the phenomenon of "alkaline loss" and maintaining long-term performance. The calcium metal active centers can form a surface protective film, reducing the friction coefficient (four-ball test wear scar diameter ≤ 0.40mm, load 392N). Calcium Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate TBN400 has a low tendency to emulsify and can maintain the stability of the grease structure in humid environments, making it suitable for humid/wet scenarios such as ships and metallurgy. It also has certain rust prevention properties, protecting engine components from rust damage.
