1. DESCRIPTION
CAS: 128-37-0
Molecular formula: C15H24O
This product is a light yellow liquid with excellent oil solubility and good compatibility with mineral oil, synthetic oil (such as PAO, ester oil) and lubricating grease systems. There is no need to heat and dissolve when blending, making the operation convenient. Its pour point is low (≤-25℃), and it remains fluid in winter or low-temperature environments, making it suitable for northern regions and oil products that need low-temperature storage. It blocks free radical chain reactions through a mixture of phenolic structures (containing 2,6-di-tert-butyl phenol, p-cresol, etc.), significantly extending the oil oxidation induction period and inhibiting viscosity increase and deposit formation. The antioxidant effect is comparable to that of HA501 (BHT), but it performs better under the same dosage, especially in fuel oil, where it can reduce the formation of acidic substances and gums. It contains no sulfur, phosphorus or metal ash, meeting the low SAPS environmental requirements and being compatible with exhaust after-treatment systems (such as DPF, GPF) to avoid catalyst poisoning. The free phenol content is low (≤0.4%), reducing the risk of corrosion to metal parts. When compounded with amine antioxidants (such as alkylated diphenylamine), it synergistically enhances antioxidant efficiency; it is also compatible with extreme pressure agents (such as MoDTC), providing both anti-wear and antioxidant functions. It can be used as an anti-aging agent in plastics and rubber to delay material aging.
2. APPLICATIONS
Engine Oil: Inhibits the formation of sludge and varnish caused by high-temperature oxidation, extending the oil change interval (recommended dosage 0.1%-1.0%).
Industrial Gear Oil/Hydraulic Oil: Ensures the stability of gears and pump valves under high-load conditions, reducing the generation of oxidative gums.
Gasoline/Diesel: Delays oxidation and degradation during storage and transportation, improving combustion efficiency and reducing emissions.
Grease/Metalworking Fluids: Prevents hardening or discoloration caused by oxidation, protecting the surfaces of non-ferrous metals (such as copper and aluminum).
Polymer Materials and New Energy Fields: Used in rubber seals and plastic products to enhance resistance to thermal oxidation aging. Compatible with hybrid/electric vehicle reducer oils to reduce the risk of copper wire corrosion.
3. RECOMMENDED DOSAGE
The recommended dosage is from 0.1% to1.0%.
