Zinc Dioctyl Dithiophosphate has fine antioxidation, anti-corrosion& antiwear performance, thermal-stability and hydrolytic stability. This product is composed of two long-chain octyl (C8) alkyl groups, featuring a high molecular weight, excellent oil solubility, and enhanced stability at high temperatures with a high decomposition temperature (above approximately 220℃), making it suitable for long-term high-temperature applications (such as in the high-temperature areas of engines). Due to its dual octyl chain structure, it exhibits stronger hydrophobic properties, enabling the formation of a more persistent adsorption film on metal surfaces, effectively reducing wear over an extended period and offering superior antioxidant performance compared to butyl-octyl ZDDP. However, its extreme pressure performance is slightly weaker than that of short-chain ZDDP (such as butyl-octyl type). Moreover, it contains a lower amount of phosphorus (compared to short-chain ZDDP), making it easier to comply with environmental regulations regarding phosphorus and zinc limitations.

APPLICATIONS

Primarily used in diesel engine oils and industrial motor oils, it is particularly suitable for high-temperature, heavy-load applications (such as turbocharged engines).
It is used in industrial equipment operating under high-temperature, high-load conditions (such as gear oils/hydraulic fluids in steel mills and wind turbine gearboxes).
It is used as an extreme pressure and anti-wear additive in high-temperature bearing greases (such as lithium complex greases).
